STUDIO POLICIES
What we need you to know about your booking.
Booking Requirements
-The Press is a natural light photo studio in Salt Lake City, Utah. It is available for use upon hourly, half day, full day & workshop rentals. 1 hour being the minimum booking time period.
-Renter must have payment made in full in order to lock down the desired booking time and date.
-Booking is done on a first come, first served basis and The Press is subject to book the desired date to another renter without payment completed.
-The Press has various lighting situations depending on the time of day and season. No refunds will be issued for customers’ dissatisfaction with lighting due to weather.
-No more than 49 people are permitted inside the entire studio at one time.

*Renter must stay inside Suite B throughout their rental. Renter or anyone in their party is not permitted to enter the Flowers Of The Press areas or any other “suites” within the building.
Lighting
The Press studios is a natural light photography studio & has various lighting situations depending on weather, time of day & season. No refunds will be issued for customers dissatisfaction with lighting due to weather.
Studio Furniture
We are dedicated to making The Press always feel fresh & up-to-date with our props & furniture options. Please note that our selection is subject to change at any time. If there is a specific prop or piece of furniture you are hoping to shoot with that you have seen in content, please confirm with us prior to booking. Hours
-The Press' regular business hours are from 9am-7pm, 6 days a week (closed Sundays). Please email studio@flowersofthepress.com if you wish to book outside of these hours.
Rescheduling and Cancellations
-If hourly rentals are canceled within 1 week of the booked date, The Press will issue a full refund.
- If canceled within 48 hours, The Press will issue a partial refund. 40% will be withheld as a cancellation fee.
-Day of cancellations will result in the full amount of the hourly rental being charged as a cancellation fee.
-Any bookings that need to be rescheduled, must be rescheduled within 1 week. Otherwise, there will be a cancellation fee. Rescheduling is on a first come, first served basis and The Press cannot guarantee any certain date/time.
*Full-day rentals must be cancelled within 2 weeks to be issued a full refund and 1 week for a partial (50%) refund. Full-day reschedules must be brought to the attention 1 week prior to the scheduled date to avoid a cancellation fee.
Parking
-The Press Creative Studio has limited parking in the lot that is shared with the other occupants of the building. If able, please park on the south side of the parking lot closest to the building. Free street parking is also available along State Street.
-The Press Creative Studio is not responsible for any theft or damage to any vehicles during your rental.
Time
-Set up and take down must be done within the booked time slot.
-If the renter needs more time, please check with The Press representative 15 minutes before the end of your booked time slot. If the studio is available for an extended rental, extra time will be billed accordingly.
-Renter must show up to their shoot on time, as there could be possible bookings before or after your booked time period. If the Renter or anyone in their party is late (without the fault of The Press), The Press Creative Studio can not guarantee extra rental time and there will be no refund issued.
-Renter understands that if they or their party shows up or stays more than 10 minutes before or after their scheduled rental, this could conflict with other bookings. It will also may be considered “overtime” and will be billed accordingly, with a 1-hour minimum.
The Press Representative
-There will be a representative available via phone throughout your rental to answer any questions or concerns during your shoot. The contact information for the representative can be found posted in the studio. If you need to contact the representative prior to your rental please email studio@flowersofthepress.com.
Rental Expectations
-Music must be kept at a reasonable volume, as The Press Creative Studio is located in a shared building
-There is no drinking, smoking, vaping or drug use permitted within The Press Creative Studio. Violators will be asked to leave. No refunds will be issued.
-With the exception of the items stated below, Renter is welcome to bring their own equipment or props into the space.
-The Press Creative Studio PROHIBITS THE USE OF ANY PROPERTY DAMAGING MATERIALS SUCH AS NAILS OR TACKS. IF YOU NEED TO HANG ANYTHING WITHIN THE SPACE YOU MAY USE MASKING TAPE OR PAINTERS TAPE, IF THOSE WILL NOT WORK PLEASE REACH OUT TO US FOR APPROVAL.
-ABSOLUTELY NO GLITTER OR CONFETTI OF ANY SIZE PERMITTED INSIDE THE SPACE. NO EXCEPTIONS. EVER. THIS INCLUDES LOOSE GLITTER AND ANY LARGE PROPS THAT HAVE GLITTER ON THEM.
-IF GLITTER OR CONFETTI IS USED, A $75 CLEANING FEE WILL BE CHARGED AS IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CLEAN DUE TO OUR FLOORING.
*IF USING GLITTER TO STYLE A MODEL, PLEASE APPLY OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING.
-The Press Creative Studio is a safe space to create in. There is an absolute zero-tolerance policy for any inappropriate behavior towards anyone on the premises. This includes any verbal or physical assault of any kind. Violators will be asked to leave and will not be issued a refund.
Cleaning
-Please tidy up and leave the space as you found it. (***Remember, cleaning must be done within your scheduled booking time) If the renter does not leave the space as it was upon arrival, there may be a $30 cleaning fee invoiced.
-If the Renter or their party leaves anything inside the space, there may be a $25 fee. The owner will have 48 hours to collect the item(s). Otherwise, it will be considered abandoned and donated to charity.
Theft & Damage
-The Press Creative Studio is not responsible for any theft, injury, or other incidents of the Renter or their party during the rental.
-If the renter or anyone in their party damages anything within the space (structural, furniture, plant, or any rental equipment), the Renter will have to pay for the damages.
Videographers
The Press Creative Studio is located in a shared building that hosts other businesses within it. Background noise is very likely & renter understands that if they are filming video, The Press Creative Studio does not have control over any outside noise within or outside the building that is not in the studio itself. We have done our best to soundproof our space but there is still some echo, please keep this in mind if filming or recording. The Press Creative Studio will not issue any refunds due to dissatisfaction with sound quality.
Renter Party
-Renter accepts responsibility in educating their party in the rules and expectations stated in this agreement.
